Summer Festivals in Japan

Summer time in Japan means sweltering days of 30 degrees heat, and almost as if to fight the sluggishness of the heat, the summer festivities bring about an atmosphere of celebration and excitement! It seems like every town will have it's own parade and fireworks display.

And in the Saitama area, dancing in the streets, matsuri food stalls, girls dressed up in yukatas, and more an hour display of fireworks complete the experience to make a memorable summer indeed!
